About me

I built the tool I wish I'd had in sixth form.

I'm Ammaar. I got 9s at GCSE, A*s in A level Economics and History, and I'm now studying History and Politics at UCL.

The biggest jump in my grades didn't come from knowing more content. It came from understanding how essays are actually marked: what makes an examiner put an answer in Level 3 rather than Level 4, why a conclusion that sums up isn't the same as a supported judgement, and how much evaluation a 25-mark question really needs.

The problem is that you only learn that from detailed feedback, and detailed feedback is slow. Teachers have dozens of scripts to mark, and general AI chatbots tend to say something vague and encouraging rather than give you a mark you can trust.

So I built Ezzays to mark essays the way examiners do. It uses each board's levels and assessment objectives, and for Economics it's calibrated against real mark schemes, examiner reports and examiner-marked scripts. Then it shows you what your own answer would look like at full marks.

If you're aiming for an A*, I hope it helps you get there faster than I did.
